Niche Marketing is all about marketing to specific niches. One of the most important tools in your niche marketing empire is your Website. People out there will tell you that you can make money going straight to individual websites from google adwords, FB ads and other onsite advertising, however this is extremely hard to get to work and is much more competitive than people would have you believe. Assuming you dont want to buy into the hype you will need to be able to either design websites or outsource it to someone who can.
You have two main options for your website. Either you can code it yourself, possibly using other peoples templates or you can use a content management system (CMS). Again designed yourself or using templates.
A CMS is invariably the way to go and gives you a huge amount of power when it comes to website design. The only real disadvantage is that they can be intensive on your CPU usage, which will be an issue if you host hundreds of domains with the same hosting package, but if you use the right caching plugin this will not be a problem. For WordPress I use W3 Total Cache which is pretty powerful and does all I want it to do.
I have become over the last year a huge fan of WordPress. Prior to this I used to handcode all my websites, mainly because I knew no better. Joomla, Drupal and Xoops are other CMS which have a huge amount of power but for most affiliate and niche marketeers WordPress will do everything that you need. With WordPress 3.0 the power of WordPress has become even more powerful and it stacks up very favorably to other once more powerful free CMS systems like Joomla and Drupal.
Does this help or do you have a problem with this?
